With Euro2020 now down to the last 16, we created a small video of our Euro Nations at TouchNote and asked the TouchNote team who they were supporting…
Is football coming home?
I think everyone is convinced it’s coming home this time! I feel as though there’s good team spirit which is very important! ~ Anya, Growth Exec and England Fan
Italy is always been a great team so I’m sure we’ll managed to either win it or put on a great show. ~ Luca, Designer and Italy Fan
When you are in you are there to win it. I think we have a young and talented squad and on our best day we can beat all the big teams. ~ Jeremy, Senior Growth Manager and Netherlands Fan
I don’t want to jinx it! ~ Camilla, Growth Exec and England Fan
Where are you watching and who are you watching the games with?
I will be watching in a Dutch bar in Central London which was the meeting place of the Dutch Resistance in World War II ~ Jeremy
The pub of course! ~ Holly, HR Manager and England Fan
From the pub with my little baby! ~ Luca
The beer garden of my local pub with my boyfriend and friends, even if it rains. ~ Camilla
I’ll probably watch it with my boyfriend, who’s already fully obsessed with the Euros…He’s even buying the stickers. ~ Hannah, Social Media Manager and England Fan
I will be watching at home with my family, who are very big football fans. ~ Anya
What are your best or worst memories of international tournaments?
The only memory I have is PTSD after Brazil lost 7×1 to Germany in the 2014 World Cup ~ Ana, Customer Support Manager and Brazil Fan
Losing the World Cup Final in 2010 against Spain was one of the worst moments watching football. I was devastated but beating Spain in the following World Cup, with a 5-1 with the flying header from Robin van Persie, was a very joyful moment! ~ Jeremy
I went to watch the world cup semi final at hyde park in 2018, I was so excited to get hold of some tickets! I was right in the centre of the crowds and the atmosphere was amazing, especially when Trippier scored although I think it’s safe to say that everyone got covered in beer! ~ Anya
Not football but watching Bokke win the 2019 Rugby World Cup at a pub in London was a proud moment – it was obvious from the beginning we would win but by the end the energy was wicked! ~ Candice, Accounts Controller, South African Rugby Fan
The best was just being in London during the World Cup in 2018, there was a heatwave and England, for the most part, did well so there was just a great atmosphere all over the city. Football really does bring people together! ~ Camilla
